Key Art & Campaign Design

Since the first performance in 1995, the annual Fire Island Dance Festival has become an anticipated event in Fire Island Pines, NY. The weekend-long festival presents a series of dance performances by world-renowned and emerging dancers.
The goal of this campaign was to create a fresh new look for an event that started in the 90s, that would resonate with longtime attendees and newcomers alike. This edition of the festival set a fundraising record and raised $600,000+ for people across in the country in need.
The entire campaign was centered around the concept of "seeing dance differently". The poster features the iconic dance festival stage turned on its side. This brought dimension, interest and a focus to the open-air venue that makes this event unique. For a the campaign imagery, I curated a collection from past performances that focused on diverisity in race, gender and dance style.
