Broadway Bares is an annual burlesque show fundraiser for Broadway Cares, which began in 1992. More than 150 of New York City’s most talented dancers and actors come together for a unique extravaganza and spectacle.
My role was to take the key art and build out a campaign that would unite and excite the community of dancers and attendees. The event ended up raising $2.1 million for people across in the country in need.
One of the goals for the campaign was to increase social media participation amongst the cast and crew. Our social analytics revealed that participants were more inclined to share our content on their Instagram stories as opposed to their feed. Because the show was travel themed, I came up with the idea to create a "passport" for each participant that also featured information about where and when the show was taking place. This resulted in a 40% increase in participants sharing our content and promoting the event.
The venue featured a lounge area where ticket holders could mingle and buy drinks at the event. The team wanted to brand the area in order to make it feel more trendy and upscale. I designed this logo and visual look and feel for the area.
